Title: want to block inbound traffic from a specific IP
Post by: zero7404 on October 05, 2011, 09:06:07 PM
can anyone tell me how to configure the 825 to block inbound traffic from a specific internet IP address ?
i noticed an IP and MAC that i don't recognize that is listed as a connection to my NAS's media server ...

i blocked it in the NAS configuration page, but i don't want any unsolicited traffic into my network.

Use the Inbound Filter option on the router. just input the IP address that your seeing...You can do a domaintools.com look up and see that there range is FROM and TO and input there range into the router to cover any possible other IPs that they may use.

I think so. I haven't used this as of yet as I've had no need to. It wouldn't hurt to try it and see what you find in the logs.
