Title: Network will not delete
Post by: Connor84 on October 09, 2011, 10:07:29 PM
I just purchased this network card a couple of days ago.  It works great!  The bummer is that I have to type in the information everytime I want to log onto my network.  I decided to use the My Network option to add my network to save time, but after creating a profile could not get that profile to work.  So then I tried the Connect Wizard hoping that it would save my network.  It did!  Happy happy, joy joy!

Last, I tried to delete the network profile that I had originally created that I could not connect with.  Highlighting the network and clicking the delete button on the right hand side does nothing but unhighlight the network.  How can I delete it from My Network list?

WinXP  SP3
D Link Driver 1.70

Well I found out how to delete the network.  Simply restart the computer.  However this also deletes the network I saved with Network Wizard.  How do I keep that network saved even after reboots?

Nearly 2 weeks and no reply.  Surely this is a simple thing for the software to do?  Or maybe I should have gone with another company..

Hi Connor84,

The problem with people not answering, is that there is no information given by you, as to what you have as far an operating system. Nor where you were trying to delete the Network from. From Windows or from D-Link?

Windows XP Service Pack 3 is a Service Pack, it is not an operating system.

Windows XP Home Edition
Windows XP Professional Edition
Windows XP Media Edition - All operating systems.

To use Windows when connecting to your Named Network, whether it is broadcasting the name or not, you must reboot after giving the name to Windows and the Passphase, otherwise it simply connects and reconnects constantly.
