Title: Can't get ZTE MF622 USB 3G modem working
Post by: tentimes on February 09, 2009, 01:13:05 PM
Hi,

Desperate for some help here. I have a ZTE 3G modem, MF622, from Three UK. I can't get it to connect. I am running 1.21 BIOS and the internal wireless connection is fine.

I have the dialup number (*99#), APN (3internet) and the fact that it is chap. Green light on the modem, but it just won't connect.

I should say that this modem is one of the ones that is detected by window as a storage device, with the windows software onboard.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get these pair to work together, or, if there is any way to get a diagnostic to see what is failing?

Thanks for any help

Set the right device connected in the router setup to 3G USB adapter (http://192.168.0.1/Basic/USB.shtml)?

Yes - you need to do that and reboot before you can even start put put settings in. Interestingly it says cable not connected, looks like it's not recognising it and I wonder is this because it is also a storage device.

I think this is one that may need to be coded in firmware. Would really welcome a dev feedback on this if you can please (Lycan? :))

Can't say really, it doesn't work here in the states.
I've never used it.
Sorry :/
