Title: Windows file attributes, read only, hidden, etc
Post by: awrightus on October 18, 2011, 09:23:10 AM
Trying to set read only and/or hidden attributes on files, yet it never seems to take.  I see other thread topics regarding the archive bit, and I'm guessing it's all related.  Is this not supported on Samba?

Hi,
So far there have been over 60 reads on your post and no responses, so, I will just start by saying I might be missing your point, but...files once stored on the NAS are controlled by the user settings on the NAS only.  The choices are basic, "read only, read and write, or deny access."  File attributes only are active when the files are on the Windows machine in my understanding anyway.  If I am totally missing your point, I am sorry, otherwise, good luck.
