Title: firmware 1.06 problem

Sorry my bad English
I have to update firmware 1.05 to 1.06
but why fan not running when temp. up to 45c
it too high for HDD, any idea? downgrade 1.05 or wait 1.07?
thanks alot ??? ???

Yeah you may want to downgrade and see if the fans come back. You can also try reflashing that may fix your issue as well.

It's D-link enhancement in fw 1.06:
-Turn off Fan when the system temperature reached 43 degress Celcius : 43(OFF), 46(LOW), 49(HIGH)

The fan turn on only when temperature reached 46 C and turn off when 43 C

It is problem because HDD may high temperature than the show in status
I think change to 37(off) 40(low) 43(high)

Not to sound unappreciative but the new fan scheme isn't working well for me. My fan is so erratic now. The unit will be sitting with no activity on it for hours and all the sudden the fan kick in at 100%. Personally I don't want the fan to ever stop, just slow down to 1,500 or so RPM. Something like power save off, do not disable the fan. Of course it will get hot when the HD's are running 24x7. Oh well. I'll just deal with it.
