Hello
I have a DNS323 currently in RAID1 configuration. 2 x 500GB Seagate STA HD
I would like to have a backup performed (for offsite storage) with another 1 x 500GB Seagate HD.
Is there a procedure available to do so?
The device is serving as a file storage device and offsite backup is crucial. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

I would recommend trying out the Memeo AutoBackup software provided on the CD with the unit.

As far as I am aware the version of Memeo supplied with the DNS-323 will only backup the PC it is running on, and cannot be used to backup the DNS-323 itself.

Oh yes it is for local usage only my bad. Yeah you will need to look into some Third party software for this function I do not know any off hand but I have seen people post about this in some other posts just look around It may be in the DNS-321 or 343 as well but it would be the same software.

FTPGetter, automatic scheduling FTP client. If you are backing up to another FTP, you may be able to use this client.... the DNS doesn't support FXP, but you may be able to schedule the backup job to be brought local on schedule and then moved to the destination FTP (or other client) on a second schedule (win task scheduler maybe?)
Cool site - every day at 3a EST it changes, so you have 11hrs left right now.
