Pretty cool to find a forum dedicated to D-Link products. With that said...
I have had my DCS-932L for just under a week. I got it to connect wirelessly without issue and it has been performing just fine. I am using the base install of going through mydlink for viewing a room in the house. The issue I am having now is that the night vision has suddenly failed. I used to be able to see clearly at night with just moonlight through a window. But now at night, I can't see but maybe 3 feet in front of the camera. Turning the room's light on illuminates everything and the picture is fine.
I attempted to change the config to night-only to see what happens and it did nothing. The one thing I did notice on the camera is that the front LED is green but is blinking/flashing at a constant and quick rate. IR dots surrounding the camera are illuminated at night. I've tried restarting it by unplugging the unit but the issue persists. Any help is appreciated. Maybe this is just a defective unit?

The DCS-932L should be able to illuminate a pitch black room 10+ feet in front of the camera's field of view. Your statement implies that moonlight helped illuminate the room, when in fact no external light source is necessary. The DCS-932L IR illuminator (four red lights around the face of the camera) provides 100% of the light needed for night mode.
If you haven't already tried this, go into the DCS-932L web interface and set the camera to "Always Night Mode" and save the settings via the following path: Setup > Day/Night Mode > Always Night Mode
If the night vision still doesn't work properly in a pitch black room, call D-Link customer support and ask them to issue you an RMA for a replacement unit.

This is exactly what used to happen. Room is for dogs, no bigger than 10'x12' with the camera mounted about 3 feet from the ground on a wall, not on a corner. I thought that's what the red dots are for but even now, all four red dots are illuminated with a solid green LED and still fails. I say fails because I used to see the black dogs, floor, etc clearly but now everything is pitch black except for their eyes.

Tried that. Even went to camera, recycled power after saving settings, and still no improvement.

10-4. This seems to be the next logical step, although the retailer will give me a new one first since I'm still in their return period.

Definitely sounds like you have a defective device. If you purchased the DCS-932L from a local retailer, your best bet is to bring the defective unit for an exchange.
Let us know how things work out ;)
