You able to get the router set up? Try FuryNutz or Harry. They are very knowledgable. They set my stuff up.

I messed around with the firmware for about an hour last night and went through the 4500 setup with firmware 1.01 and triple checked my settings and still had issues with the LIVE with late messages and couldnt host party chats or games. Im thinking about just waiting on Dlink to issue a newer firmware that fixes these issues. I am interested in how to make the 815 have open nats on both xboxes in the house?! Im sure my son would thank any input on that. But til' 1.01 is fixed Im sticking with 1.00 that is xbox live compatible.

Lets have a review of the routers settings first. Can you PM me with the Teamviewer ID and password when you are ready?

So reviewing the DIR-815 router settings and having multiple game consoles on his system, The 815 doesn't provide IMO, enough QoS options to effect proper configuration of the router for the game consoles to connect well on XBL. This 815 would be good if only he had one. I recommended getting into a DIR-825 or a DGL-4500 for his gaming needs as these would provide better QoS options for gaming on XBL. I'm waiting on him to reply back when he gets the different router in house.  ;)

His Apology was accepted.  :)

You da man Furry! What people don't understand is there is a couple of people out here that give their personal time to help with D-Link equip. Before you and one or two others came along, there was nothing but people with problems saying they would NEVER buy D-Link again! Here I am using my Dir-825 to the fullest, IPV4, IPV6, all kind of goodies, no problems. The couple of question I had went unanswered untill I got time to try several fixes out myself, no help from D-Link or this forum, untill you came along (did get some help from users of the 655 forum untill I upgraded to the 825)

Hats off to you Sir, for one you have much more patience then I do.

:D I hope it will all be ok with this one. It looks good too! I do have a question about it though, On the 815 when I turned on the QOS it would only go to upload speed of 2048kbps. My upload speeds are 3.5megs. I would get alot of lag. Wonder why it only goes to 2048kbps?

Were you letting it automatically detect the UL speed or did you put manual?

Keep in mind that if you start to notice some lag while gaming, specially with both consoles going, I would recommend using QoS and settings up the XBL as outlined in the sticky. I use it and works great.  ;)

I was letting the 815 router manually get the upload speed and it would get only like 766kbps out of the 3.5meg that I have in auto mode. Im not really getting any lag out of the game right now at this time :D I am very happy with your advise to get the 825. Its got alot of features and controls that I will need to use soon. :) I love the extra security features.
