Hello everybody. About 2 months ago, I bought a d'link DIR-652. My PS3 is about 1 meter from the router, so it's recommended to have wired connected with my router, and of course, I did that. My PS3 has an static IP, I've turned DMZ on, Firewall Endpoint Independant both TCP and UDP, UpnP both PS3 and router on of course and I have a Nat type 2 on PS3. But the bad result is, when I'm playing Call of Duty Black Ops, I have a NAT strict. I don't know what to do, I need help. Maybe setting up QOS will do the trick, or maybe port forwarding while you also have DMZ on???
There are no sites that shows ports for DIR 652, and I don't know how to set up the QOS.
Sorry for my bad English

Try turning off the DMZ because if you have UPNP enabled then DMZ is pointless and can cause problems. You are looking to get NAT Type 2 not any other one when connected to a router...and you do not need to do any port forwarding because UPNP does it automatically for all devices connected to the internet through your router. Turn DMZ off and keep UPNP on.

What is the model number of your modem though? Aris makes alot of different models. Basically it sounds like your double NAT, and I need to see if your modem is part router.
FYI though, Black Ops has a bug in it with the latest patch where it doesn't properly connect to the server. Has this happened only since getting the Dlink router? Another words, have you EVER gotten anything better then strict NAT? There is a easy work around though, if you have MW3, insert that game and get to the part where MW3 says your NAT. If MW3 says your Open NAT, then eject MW3 and put in Black Ops and consider it a bug. If MW3, or other games also say Strict NAT, reply back here and I will have other suggestions.

Also review the PSN gameing and gamefuel sticky over on the DGL-4500 forum.

Try to set the NAT endpoint filtering on the setup router to Endpoint Indepent on both TCP and UDP

I can't see the model of my arris modem. But the most interesting is that I have my modem linked to D'link 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch and the D'link 10/100 Fast Ethernet Switch is linked to our DVD Player and also to our router. Maybe that's the problem? Maybe should I directly link my arris modem to my router?

Yes, lets try that as thats the preferred way to connect these devices together. You can connect the switch to the back of the 655 and the dvd player to the switch.

Dunno if this helps on this problem. My friend had problem with Pes 2012 online play and PS3 NAT with D-Link DSL-2640B router and we got it working by disabling all Application Level Gateway Configuration settings, simplish guide about that here:

This is handy however I presume this is for the DSL Modem/Router combo. This may or may not work for stand alone routers connected to a Modem/Router application. However it is a good troubleshooting step. Other applications may need this option enabled though. ::)

I have this problem also, i try to play MW3 but can connect to anyone all other CODS have been open NAT type but now for some reason all strict. upnp is enabled i have tried DMZ didn't work i also have QoS enabled.
Tried everything there is to try and fix it and still the same there most be something that can fix it.
Anyone got any ideas?
I have D-Link DIR 655 connected to Virgin Super Hub set to modem mode (this was done to solve a problem with fifa 12)

From what I have been told, Black Ops has a bug since latest patch. I gave a work around previous, by playing the MW3 game first. Other then that though, as long as your Nat2 or below on your PS3, and open NAT on other games, I don't think its any network issue you can fix.

Review the gaming sticky for XBL and see if that helps, for PSN, review the PSN game sticky over on the DGL-4500 forum. Update for PSN is coming soon.
