Title: Is the DPR-1260 > RangeBooster G Multifunction print server compatible?
Post by: isobultz on February 12, 2009, 11:10:42 AM
I would like to go wireless with my two home desktop printers so they support our laptops at home too.
Is the DPR-1260 > RangeBooster G Multifunction print server compatible with our DIR-628 Rangebooster N Dual Band Router?
If yes, please explain a little...Thanks

I currently have the DPR-1260 and just purchased the DIR-628. I have the DIR-628 up and running and will be reconfiguring the DPR-1260 later today. I sure how they work together. I will let you know the outcome

Hi,

I'm pretty sure they were compatible, the only question is, were the printers compatible with the DPR-1260 print server, you can check out D-Link's support site for further informations about the supported printers but most of them were already supported, most of the time even though the printer wasn't on the list of compatible ones it would still work you just have to make sure that you are using the most updated driver for your printer.

I'd say they are compatible because the DPR-1260 is a network printer so it doesn't really matter what router you will be using.

Yes, they should be compatible.
My suggestion is to use laser printers on the print server, because most home/office inkjets do not have built in memory, which causes printing on inkjets with a print server to be very slow.
