Hi all,
You can confirm whether the firmware version: "DNS320.2.01b01 (2.03.0512.2011) (BETA)"
repair support for OSX Lion?
I upgraded the firmware to version 2.01b01 and continues to the error: "The server version is not supported"
thanks

D-Link released beta firmware that addressed the OS X Lion issue you are referring to. However, D-Link subsequently removed the latest beta firmware from distribution for unknown technical issues. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for a new beta firmware release to access the OS X Lion fix.
-
yeah, yeah...just keep waiting...this is the story of my life with this DNS-320. I think i'm ready to cut my losses and buy a NAS device that already works with Lion. Best of luck to the rest of you, I hope dlink eventually comes through for you.
-
My experience has been with D-Link that support for newer OSes never happen. Every time there was a major OS update, I had to purchase a new router because of the lack of support. I'm sure that D-Link will fail us on this one, too. ???
-
The new beta that I posted today resolves the issue with Lion.
-
the firmware posted today does not resolve my problems with time machine and lion.
-
Where did you get the new firmware from?
-
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/dns320/Beta/Firmware/
-
But there is just the 2.01 Beta Firmware, not the 2.02b01 Firmware mentioned in all the posts...
-
oops. guess i can't find it either..
-
Sorry its fixed now..its there to DL now, had a little problem before.

Good Evening,
I am very optimistic that this update will address my OS X Lion issues. I am able to download the ZIP from the FTP server, but when I try to expand it I get "Unable to expand "dns_FW_202_beta.zip" into "my_location" (Error 2 - No such file or directory.)" I have also been unable to expand it on an earlier version of OS X (10.5 ) or Windows 7 running in a virtual machine. Is anyone else getting these issues? I have tried downloading it multiple times. Thanks in advance!
-
Hi,
Yes, I am having the same issue, unable to unzip the file with Windows Explorer, Winzip, Izarc. I am certain it is not me, there must have been a glitch in the upload. Maybe tomorrow. I hope.
-
me too, the download is corrupted. at this point i'm wondering if dlink can do anything right.
-
The beta archive appears to be broken. Unzip gives the following message:
inflating: DLINK_DNS320.2.02b01(2.08.0923.2011)(BETA)
error: invalid compressed data to inflate
-
Hang tight, I'm confident D-Link will re-post the file by Monday.
-
Sorry everybody..its re-posted and is working now.
-
ECF... and everyone else involved. I have relatively simple needs for my NAS, and I would just like to wholeheartedly thank you for posting this Firmware Update. I can confirm (at least on my Lion systems) that the repost of the 2.02b01 Firmware decompresses properly and after updating I can now write to the DNS-320 from my 10.7.1 systems. Thanks a bunch. Now on to further exploration of this device!
On an unrelated note, I did try iTunes 10.5.1 (latest version) and with this Firmware update (as with the previous Firmware version) the iTunes Server does not seem to work. In iTunes, I see the DNS-320, but when I select it and enter my password, I get the Loading progress bar at the top but nothing seems to load.
This is not to diminish IN ANY WAY my enthusiasm for 10.7 to now be working properly. Thanks!!

The new archive download, unpacks, and installs without problems. Time machine works again, yay!
-
Great to hear it is working now.

Can anyone else confirmed what was fixed?
