I can only get 5 users to connect to my 2553.
We've been using a 2553 as an AP hooked to our Sonicwall firewall/router for months now. But as our office expands we've tried adding new client computers and I cannot add more than 5 users to the 2553.
I've tried multiple settings including disabling connection limits(Advanced Settings->Performance->Connection Limit), to no avail.
Firmware is 1.21, everything else looks good, but once 5 users are connected no one else can see/use the network. If they do happen to connect, it bumps someone else off.
As part of the troubleshooting, I replaced the 2553 with a cheapo netgear AP, and all our machines can see/connect to it (of course the signal strength is crap compared to the 2553, but everyone can connect).
If I can't figure out what's causing the artificial limit I've got no choice but to purchase another small business AP and trash this one.
Is there a setting I'm missing? Or could this be a hardware fault?

What wireless modes are you using?
-
Wireless Mode: Mixed 802.11n 802.11g and 802.11b
Sorry it took so long to reply.
Any ideas?

Can you switch from Mixed mode to Single mode G only and test and see what happens?
Then try Mixed G and N.
B mode isn't used much any more by current devices.
Let us know.
