Title: Has anyone tried the WD5000ABPS ?
Post by: keraynos on February 13, 2009, 10:22:11 AM
I just bought my brand new 323 but it's still empty.

I would like to equip it with a couple of enterprise level hdds, as they're supposed to be more reliable and long lasting.
I was thinking of the WD7500AYPS model, which in addition has low consumption.

Since they're more expensive than the desktop models, I'd like to be sure they're compatible with the nas-323 before ordering.(don't quite get why it could be so picky concerning the hdd models though...)

So, anyone ever tried them..?
Thanks!

I have two of them in my DNS323. I've only had the Unit and the two drives for a week so I really can't share a lot, but no issues with the drives so far.

Thanks for the reply, but I have made a typo, and have a different model on the subject(WD5000ABPS) and another on the actual post(WD7500AYPS).

I'm mainly interested in the WD5000ABPS. Is this the model you have?
