Post by: jebrou72 on November 10, 2011, 08:49:23 PM
I am not a computer person----I am trying to connect your router to my Dell and I keep getting the following error message:

Error Infomation:

Error 311: Router Setup cannot run over a wireless connection.

Setup version: 5.2.27.100
Model: DIR-601

Please help me to understand this and install my router.

Thanks,

Have you set up the router using the CD or logging into the web page using a wired connection first?

I am trying to use the CD and this is the message.  It starts checking connections for the following:

1  Checking network adapter- clears the test
2  Checking network status-fails and gives me the message noted above

Ok, how about you open a browser and log in to the router at 192.168.0.1
