Title: what do you think
Post by: ELOTT on November 13, 2011, 08:17:45 AM
I just received my DLG-4500..and I'm loving it so far. I bought it so I could have open nat on both my xbox's which I could not get with my router/modem provided by my cable company.
So my question is this....I have not changed any of the factory settings other than a few I had to make to get online (thanks tec support). But everything seems to be working great without messing with anything.
Gamefuel was on by defualt...I even have the dynamic fragmentation on with no problems so far....so the question is should I mess with it if its not broke?
I had both the xbox's on last night playing MW3 with no lag whatsoever...plus 2 laptops running video just to put this thing to the test and it passed with flying colors.
Anyway..any opinions would be appreciated.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. ::laugh:: With two Xbox on at the same time you can't really use custom gamefuel or port forwarding (AKA Gaming) because that contradicts UPnP. And looks like Gamefuel is doing a well enough job. Just keep in mine, you may experience lag for reasons that have nothing to do with your router, so don't go poking around the first time you have a issue. Just some friendly advice.

Oh, and save your config file.

You can use custom game fuel w 2 or more xboxs. Just follow the sticky for XBL. There is good tips there. However if your xboxs are working well right now. I would keep it going that way.
