Title: DIR-655 truncated html output after login???
Post by: andydills on November 17, 2011, 05:23:37 AM
I'm running hardware B1, firmware 2.00NA.

All of a sudden this morning, whenever I login to the router, I get this truncated output displayed in my browser just as I paste it below (this is 100% of what is displayed in the browser window):

Quote
<input type="hidden" id="dhcp_list" name="dhcp_list" value="192.168.0.103/WIN-CF944OU8MQE/00:23:54:00:BF:1C ,192.168.0.101//00:19:DF:E5:16:1C ,192.168.0.100//00:50:94:ED:A0:70 ,

This happens in all browsers, from all connected computers.

When I look at the source, I see the usual javascript and headers and so forth, and then it just terminates at that last comma. Clearly, it's truncating the output and not displaying the rest of the page.

Power cycling the router does not change the behavior.

Any suggestions?

Possible this was a bug they fixed in later FW versions.
Is the router working. Where exactly are you seeing this being displayed?
If using IE 8 or 9, does the use of Compatibility mode effect this?

Router continues to work fine. I was able to login to it and work with it recently.

Compatibility mode doesn't change anything unfortunately...keep in mind I tried chrome and firefox as well.

Odd that your seeing this.
Does the display of this information inhibit you to work with the routers web page?
If not then I wouldn't worry too much. You could update FW if you really wanted to.

What are you QoS settings currently? Try turning them ALL OFF including the grayed out ones to test.
What version of Java is installed if any? Might try to update Java just in case.

I can't use the router's web interface after logging in. The html snipped I pasted is literally all that is displayed.

It's not java related.

Does this happen on this particular PC? Can you try a 2nd PC to see if the tracks?
How about doing a factory reset of the router?
How long have you had this unit. Wonder if we can even get it to take a FW update now.  :-\

Happens on all PCs, as I said in the first post. I guess I can try a factory reset, I should hope that would fix it. Shame I have to do that though.

Ok...you might try a FW update as well. Follow the steps in the FW Sticky if you decide to.

You can try to do reset on the router if you cannot access the setup page of the router. just press and hold the reset button on the router for 10 seconds turn off the router for another 10 seconds, but since you will reset the router the settings will go back to factory default settings..
