hello all,
I am tying to setup my DNS321 with a Sonos system. and yesterday i could select the drive on the network list in sonos. it did not work yet as it states that the drives must be shared before selecting it int he sonos software. reading this forum I found the part about setting it up the share under network settings as a SMB. I started looking under some other parameters changed a few yes I know I shoul;d not have done that and now the 321 is not shown anymore as a network drive that I can access.
i had turned off Upnp server as I read that it was not needed. I turned it back on but that did not help. I can reset to factory values but I am not sure what that does to my RAID 1 setup.
any ideas are very welcome!
thanks
Peter

I won't be much help on the networking parts of your question but you can do a reset of the NAS and it won't hurt your RAID-1 array or the data on the drive. All it does is reset the firmware back to factory settings.
