Hello everybody,
I am having problems configuring this router with PPPOE ipv6. I can see in the manual this is possible but I do not have this option. I can only select Static IPV6, DHCPv6, Link-local only. I already tried all firmware versions (8.00, 8.01, 8.02).
What can I do to have that option available?
Thanks...

What region of the world are you in?
And H1 is the hardware version of this router?
-
What ISP do you have? Do they support it?
-
I am in Eastern Europe (Romania) and, yes, H1 is the hardware version.
The ISP supports ipv6 (but only with pppoe).
The thing is the manual clearly shows there should be a pppoe option in that select...
In firmware version 8.02 I only have the following:

Edit:
Ok, they are hidden for some reason... I dug a little and apparently they exist in some way:
//IPv6
function select_ipv6_wan_page(idx)
{
switch(parseInt(idx))
{
case 1:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_static.htm";
break;
case 2:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_dhcp.htm";
break;
case 3:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_pppoe.htm";
break;
case 4:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_6in4.htm";
break;
case 5:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_6to4.htm";
break;
case 6:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_stateless.htm";
break;
case 7:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_auto_detect.htm";
break;
case 0:
location.href = "adv_ipv6_link_local.htm";
break;
}

Is there a link you can post for the manual.pdf file?
Never mind I found it.

Looking thru the manual now.

As I said in the last post... I cannot figure out WHY is the pppoe option hidden? If I manually access the page I can fill in the pppoe settings. But that doesn't help me because by doing this, the Static ipv6 gets selected in the dropdown and DHCP Prefix Delegation is disabled (I also need this):

what page of the manual are you seeing the IPv6 PPPoE info?
I'm wondering if they turned that off or disabled it for your region by mistake or there is a problem with the FW.
-
Does your manaul pdf file say Rev D by chance?
-
I just had a look at H1 615 and didn't see the IPv6 PPPoE settings there either. I would recommend you call up your local DLink support office and ask them if this router supports that feature for your region or not and if they do, can they help resolve that?
Keep us posted on what they say.

I looked for the manual too. Nothing about the H1 on US Support site, and Romania site gives me a site error when I try to go to their DIR-615 support site. Where did you find it? We have had a couple questions on the H1, could you share the link?
-
I was able to get to the Romanian support site and download the manual. I noticed it was named with Rev D so not sure if the data is applicable to H1s. :-\ I looked at a real live H1 a few minutes ago and didn't see any IPv6 PPPoE settings so I presume these might out of region or was disabled in FW for a reason. ???

Link with revision H manual (go to page 55):

Ok, I see how...ya, I didn't see that on the H1 I visited earlier today.

Are your standard IPv4 WAN settings set to PPPoE? Maybe it only shows you IPv6 PPPoE settings if IPv4 PPPoE is already configured? If not, try calling Dlink? See what they say? Maybe they meant to include it but pulled it last moment? Also try looking at it with the style Off. With the page open in IE go Alt+V > Style > No style.
-
PPPoE is already configured on ipv4. I just cannot figure out why it is available in other hardware revisions (C at least) but in H it is commented out. GG Dlink.
Thank you all for your help, I will try to contact them.

Hi,
Did you ever figure this out?
I'd also like to use IPv6 in RDS Romania (Brasov) with this router.
And BTW, where did you get the 8.02 firmware becouse I could only find 8.01?
Thanks!
-
I did not... I haven't had the time to fiddle with it.
You can get the 8.02 update from ftp://ftp.dlink.cz/dir/dir-615/driver_software/ (http://ftp://ftp.dlink.cz/dir/dir-615/driver_software/). But I don't think it brings improvements...
