Title: (MAC)Reset to factory, now can't re-create SSID and isn't password-protected~!
Post by: lina on November 24, 2011, 07:47:13 AM
hello!

i am using a MAC with CLEAR internet.  i reset my router back to factory by accident (eek)!  it's working, but it's not a secure network.  now, i tried to set up again, and i was never prompted to name my network (SSID), and i've entered my new password, and that "took", but my router is still showing up as "dlink" and not password protected.

help please <3

thank you!

It's ok, it's just at it's default now.

Log on to the DLink User Interface (usually address 192.168.0.1) and then go to the tab that says Basic then click on Wizard then "Launch Wireless Security Wizard Setup".

It will guide you through setting up your wireless network again.
