Title: Problem with DLNA server

Hi everyone,

I purchased an LG TV last week and I'm trying to use the DLNA feature for a week now. Right now, the only thing I can think of is that my DIR-825 somehow block DLNA discovery.

Since I wasn't able to find the DLNA servers on my TV, I tried with others devices without success. Each of these device can see themselves, but not each other.

List of device:
LG TV (Wired, Build in DLNA)
Win7 PC (Wireless, Nero Mediahome 4 & WMP)
Macbook Pro (Wireless, XBMC)
iPhone (Wireless, MediaConnect)
iPad (Wireless, MediaConnect)


In router settings, UPnP is enabled as well as Multicast
Since a bought the 825 from my ISP (Videotron), the Firmware is locked to them (2.00VT)

Any help?

Multicast needs to be OFF!!!!

Thanks for this info, I've been having problems with my DLNA equipment since 2.05NA. I turned off multicast for IPv6 and it soved everything. I've been cursing D-Link up and down because of this, and was ready to buy a new router. I don't believe it was enabled in the previous firmwares. Multicast for IPv6 BREAKS DLNA.

Multicast if OFF by default out of the box. So turning it ON breaks IPv6 connections?

Out of the box with what FW? It worked before like I said, with older firmwares. I don't know if it breaks anything related to IPv6. There's 2 Multicast options, one for IPv4 and one for IPv6. IPv6 multicast was ON when I installed the latest FW. I did it through the FW updater, so there weren't any other settings being carried over. Now, the multicast option for IPv6, breaks DLNA, in my experience. I'm no longer looking for a new router.

Curious, what FW was loaded before you updated?
What was the reason for updating FW? Just curious.

I was running 2.05NA, which I reinstalled fresh as per 2.06NA's install instruction on D-link's site. I upgraded from 2.02NA because of SharePort issues (which I no longer use) and the MAC address bug when entering addresses not beginning with 00. In 2.02NA DLNA worked great from a fresh install.
