Title: Will port fowarding improve my connection?
Post by: fred1381 on February 17, 2009, 12:04:11 AM
My roomate and I each have our own xbox 360's, we share our broadband connection through the DGL-4500 gaming router. Most of the time we are connected on xbox live at the same time, he mostly plays Gears of War, while I mostly play Halo 3. Sometimes when playing I feel that I don't have the best connection. The settings on the router are the default settings. Since the Game Fuel is enabled by default I haven't changed anything else. I would like some tips on any configuration changes that will improve our connections.

fred1381,

If you're the one to configure the router I would set up some Gamefuel rules which is similar to QoS. Please reference the following link and give you xbox the higher priority.  ;)

Cool, thanks for the link. I will be configuring the router the way the instructions state.  ;D
