Title: DIR-655 doesn't keep the time
Post by: iamsam on September 03, 2007, 06:44:33 PM
not sure what seems to be the problem but my unit can't keep the time... i am running with the latest firmware (1.05) , systems appears OK but every time i check the time thought the administration console, it seems to be behind (now over 5 days behind since I last set it). .i don't have NTP ON ... any clues ? or has anyone else experienced this problem

Thanks

Yes, I had the same problem. I kept setting it to match my computer's time, but by the end of the day it was hours off. I changed to NTP server and it's been right on ever since.

my DIR-655 was the same way, and now my new DIR-857 also cannot keep time after a reboot.  no matter what settings, dst, time server, etc.. that i try.  just goofy time code

Do you also have a 655 alone with a 625? Are they all not keeping time? If so, then I would presume the problem of keep time is else where.
