There is all this talk about the 1.21 beta02 and it's even stickied last month. What gives? Is 1.21 back in beta again? meaning the production build is obsolete in comparison?
-
The beta is newer than 1.21 firmware.
There was a 1.22 released but it still had a bug so the number went back to 1.21b11_beta2.
I guess this way they can still come out with 1.22 when all the bugs are dealt with.

wow ok. their naming conventions are backwards than what I'm used to. technically it would be 1.22 beta 1.21 beta02 makes me think i'm downgrading.

Professionally speaking you are right. But looking at the fixes it contains I don't care ;)

Makes you wonder about the quality of the code, doesn't it. At least, it does to me.
However, I've found after trying a few firmwares that I get best stability and performance from either 1.11 or 1.21 beta. Not rock solid stability, mind, but at least useable.

Is a logical thing, since 1.11 is the last A1/A2/A3 firmware. 1.20 and onwards add support for the A4 revision.
1.21 fixed some issues, but not the DNS issue. Apparently they did fix that pretty quickly and are now preparing for 1.22.

If it weren't for the naming convention, I would have ugpraded long ago. I thought I had the latest version. LOL. I was always debating if to file a simple bug report about Newfoundland Time Offset to be only -3 when it's actually 3.5 (which was corrected in the later beta build) heh.

Wel, Newfoundland has multiple timezones (4), so the just averaged it I think

After 2 weeks of trying 1.21 B11B02, it is the only version stable enough as useful version beside Ver. 1.02.
all ver 1.03 ~1.11 have disconnection problem, and 1.21 have low speed problem.
Hope 1.22 will not broken again.
