Title: Media Center freeze on startup
Post by: yaronb on February 23, 2009, 01:26:34 PM
Hi,

I got a strange problem. Whenever I go into media center mode, the media center starts as i should, and everything is working. after about 5 seconds, the text "windows media center" on the top right corner changes to a clock that shows the time. At that moment, the remote stops to control the extender. Although the clock on the screen keeps running, I can not use the remote to move/select anything. The only button that does work is the button that will take me to the root menu of the device (exit media center).
I played a bit with it, reinstalled the server, but nothing. I did figured out a way to get it working - if i keep scrolling on the main screen without stopping from the moment media center starts till a couple of seconds after the clock appears, the media center will work as plan.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I love the media center (or should I say the MediaBrowser add-in to media center), and like to use it.

Thanks,
Yaron

I am not familiar with this clock I do not get a clock in the right corner as you explain. Maybe find a way to disable it. Does thick clock appear on your PC when running MCE?

Can you use a digital camera and post a pic?
