Hi,
I'm unable to connect @ 5GHz with this card I'm not even able to see the network. I have another intel card 4965 I think it is which connects fine the router on 5GHz.
The 6300 connects @ 2.4Ghz with no issue.
The 6300 also connects to my Viring hub @ 5Ghz with no issue.
So I have and issue between this router and my card. Card has lastest drivers.
Router has latest firmware.
Please help!!!!!

What wireless modes are you using?
Try single mode N on 5Ghz?
What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/Auto TPIK and AES.
Turn off Short GI and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
-
Tried just N. Tried all modes of security including off. Dont have short GI...

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.
-
Rev B1
Fireware currently is 2.02EU
I just reset router again which I have done many times and now it detects 5Ghz!
Only issue now is its at 130Mbs. How I get it too 300?

Single mode N on 5Ghz, if that adapter supports it. It should see it if it does.
-
tried that no joy...
-
Sure this adapter supports 300 at 5ghz? How about trying single mode n at 2.4ghz?
-
it does as its works @ 300 with my virgin media router...
-
Note: Not all Intel adapters are the same as D-Links' N line. Some Intel adapters do not support the broader 40 Channel Width option. This (by design) limits their connection speed to 130. Check the specifications of your Intel adapter to ensure that it is capable of bonding on the 40Mhz range to achieve the full 300Mbps.
From sticky.
What model is this virgin media router?
-
Virigin router is a Netgear Superhub the ones that do 100Mb
-
There a model number?

doesnt seem to have model number anywhere on the actual device..

Ok, this is a router as well.
Can you disable the wireless on the Virgin Modem and see? I'm curious if the 2 wireless radios are causing interferences between the modem and the 825.
What region of the world are you in?
Did the 825 come loaded with v2.02EU FW or did you upgrade?
The most resent released FW is v2.01EU. There are some betas too.
-
I have already disabled wifi on router. I upgraded firmeware myself due to sip issues with the others, this is the only one that works!
-
Can you go back and load v2.01EU and see if the Intel will connect then?
Where did you get the v2.02EU From?
-
It was hard to find! Dlink German FTP had it as beta, couldnt find it nowhere else!! I can connect just not at 300mbs now....
I had to reset router yesterday not 5ghz has gone again...
The older firmware was crap with voip simply didnt work...
