Hi
I just got my DIR 825. It had 2.02NA Firmware in it. It had a few options that I wanted to use but didn't work. So I thought I would update firmware. I follow the instruction from dlink to install firmware. So I loaded 2.03 and noticed internet connection not working. So then I loaded 2.05 part1 and part2. Still could get internet connection to work but the reason to upgrade the option I wanted worked. So then I loaded 2.06 and still same result. No internet connection. So then I loaded the original firmware back in and internet connection works. Why doesn't the internet work on the other firmware updates. I got the updates from dlink website. I would like to update firmware
thanks
Ron

What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What ISP Modem do you have? Stand Alone or built in router?
Are you reloading the saved configuration file after you updated. Its recommended to reconfigure the router from scratch if your going from 2.02 to 2.05 or 06.

Hi
We have wireless internet connection. The head from outside plugs in to comp or router. Yes I reloaded config back in during every firmware upgrade. Its funny it works on 2.02 with no problems. I will try again doing a reset , load firmware, reset then reloaded saved config.(in tools). To see if this will work. I will do this from fireware 2.03, 2.05 part 1 and 2 and 2.06
thanks

Hmm...got to be something why you can't use later FW. I have mine loaded with 2.05 right now and it works.

Curious, What ISP service do you have? Cable or DSL?
What make and model ISP modem?
This issue is probably a HW configuration problem.
