Network setup: Cable Modem---DSD-150---DIR-655---Computer
DSD-150 Firmware: 2.011
DIR-655 Firmware: 1.21(no securespot)
Issue: I have been having problem with the thin client not authenticating to the dsd-150. It just doesn't work at all. :(
Tried reinstalling the thin client several times. I can get to the http://192.168.229.61 just fine, which is the address for the DSD-150, but thin client says it can't find the device in the network or it could not authenticate. I was wondering if anyone was having the same issue. I tried enabling the device detection but because the thin client couldn't find the DSD the internet was totally cut off even though the device was plugged in. I tried calling support for dlink, but i keep getting a message saying they are busy and then disconnected... :(
Anyone have any ideas?

The DIR-655 has in built securespot just like the DSD-150 but its in built with the latest firmware, update your router with the securespot firmware for the DIR-655.
You then dont need your DSD-150 ;D

Well I wonder if that will work since this is the error I get from the applog.txt:
02/24/09 18:36:51 - Auth::Request (timer = 0)
02/24/09 18:37:32 - localDVP = http://192.168.0.1/dev_verify.xml
02/24/09 18:37:42 - localDVP = http://192.168.229.61/dev_verify.xml
02/24/09 18:37:42 - Device Verification -> device not found - stop Bsecure Protection
02/24/09 18:37:42 - Auth::Complete(fail)
02/24/09 18:38:08 - Auth::Request (timer = 0)
02/24/09 18:38:49 - localDVP = http://192.168.0.1/dev_verify.xml
02/24/09 18:38:49 - localDVP = http://192.168.229.61/dev_verify.xml
02/24/09 18:38:49 - Device Verification -> device not found - stop Bsecure Protection
02/24/09 18:38:49 - Auth::Complete(fail)
It checks the router and the DSD-150 I will try to get the firmware for the DIR-655. Will I be able to switch from 1.21 to 1.21 securespot?

Just a guess but I think you might have a routing/addressing problem going on. I notice that your device is 192.168.229.x and your router is 192.168.0.x . Unfortunately I dont know what a DSD *is* so I can't guess if this is purposeful or not.
