A little harsh during this time of good cheer oh windy one!

'This poll is useless' - as to how much data I carry I would better say, 'it's none of your business, even if you are the police'.  The question that follows is what do you store and where did you get it?  Again NOYB.  

I do however have some agreement with the sentiment, a poll on
'Updated and Working Non-Beta DNS-323 Firmware'  

Unfortunately it *seems* the much awaited last software update has been postponed indefinitely.  I hope I am wrong.  This though, in turn has its own reward.  That is to say:-
 - Synology is too complicated and almost puts a gun at your head to use mirroring
 - QNAP I have researched and can report on shortly
(But this is not really the forum for such comments).

Polls are fine - firmware update would be better

Thank you for your candidness. Since participation in these polls is purely voluntary, you are free to ignore them if you do not want to join in.

As I've stated on previous occasions, I am not affiliated with D-Link, but was invited to help moderate because of my long-standing involvement in this forum. I posted these polls as a means of facilitating positive discussion (albeit not necessarily this topic  ;)), assembling some interesting metrics common to all NAS owners, and increasing involvement by the forum community.

I was just telling the truth about how everyone is feeling here .. sure when you tell the truth you get deleted.

and about the Poll question : How much total combined usable storage capacity do you have across all of your network attached storage devices (NAS)?

my answer : i have 2 terabyte now and i could use more then one DNS-323 unit if i had and an Updated and Working Non-Beta DNS-323 Firmware.


I do not know who deleted my post, but a real moderator would have faced rather than delete it. Wipe the opnions of people is not the right method.

Your post was removed due to the inflammatory nature of the content, which clearly violated forum policy. D-Link openly welcomes (and encourages) user opinion and healthy discussion, as long as the content is not offensive in nature and follows forum guidelines.
