Title: DCS-932L and WPS Setting
Post by: sboyne on December 17, 2011, 02:29:34 PM
Hi - I just purchased the DCS-932L and noticed that the Installation Guide says that I either have to have a wired connection or a WPS connection.  I purchased this product because I need the camera to be wireless.

I have a Linksys WRT54g router that does not have WPS.

Is there anyway around problem?  Can I still connect to a router that doesn't have WPS?  I really don't want to have to buy a new router.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I believe the answer is yes.  Start with a wire and access the camera.  Find the wireless settings and manually enter the required information, including wifi ssid and network key.  I you are like me, you will wbe able to figure it out only after a bi of pain and frustration.  But it can be done.
