I updated to the 1.21Build11Beta02 fw & everything seemed to go ok (no obvious error messages or warnings) but after the update had completed I lost the web interface & the WLAN appears to not be functioning although the wired LAN is operational.
I am thinking I should do a factory reset, but my spidey sense keeps telling me that this may result in an un-configured white box which is unreachable via the web interface.
Anyone experienced anything similar?

Nope. I guess you're the first. Is wireless radio enabled?

The wireless light flashes during the intial boot up, but once the unit settles it stays off & I can't access the web gui to check or change any settings.
Is a default reset always required after a fw update? If so, what is the correct procedure for a hard reset?
If that still doesn't work, is there any way of forcing firmware onto the unit i.e. TFTP/Telnet etc?

so then when your wired in and you go to the router setup, is wireless on or off?
always recommended to do a hard reset after a flash, some settings can always remain there that may conflict with updated firmware. Mine for instance, retained all wireless network settings including the SSID etc.. which shouldn't happen after a firmware update. So I had to hard reset.
You may want to see if it actually took effect.

I couldn't access the web setup so I couldn't tell what settings were enabled.
It's all good now as a couple of hard resets have returned the web interface & I've reconfigured everything as it should be.

you should always use wire LAN for update firmware from the beginning anyway.
after updated firmware , all seting are resetting back to default (already hard reset), so wireless connection is lossed.

Just connecting with a ethernet cable would have given you access ;D

I did use a wired connection for the update - the problem was after updating to the new firmware (via a wired connection) I lost the web interface & the wireless access was disabled, but I still had wired access to my network & the internet.
Thanks everyone for your help
