Title: Help with a Western Digital WD Caviar Green 1TB WD10EARS
Post by: sapone on December 19, 2011, 11:45:26 PM
I have bought a DNS 325 two weeks ago.
I can't format the WD Caviar Green 1TB WD10EARS Hard disk in the standard configuration.
At the end of the process  the new created volume always crashes.

I have installed the new firwmare but nothing changes.
Can someone help me?

Thanks
Paolo

Paolo,

The WD10EARS is an Advanced Format Drive (AFT) and is not recommended to use in this unit.  You can save yourself a lot of greif by using a drive from the recommended list (see sticky in this forum).
