Title: Automatic Re-Connect on DNS-321--need password?
Post by: krisdecker on February 27, 2009, 07:38:15 PM
Hi all,

Revoked all permissions when I set up my DNS-321.  I then created user folders and required username/passwords to access each folder.

I mapped the drives using the DLink utility, but everytime we shutdown/start up the computer, we get the old "Can not reconnect to all network drives"

We need to open explorer (using Vista), click on the mapped drive, we then get prompted for username/password...

Is there a way to have it (Vista) remember the login info so the computer will be able to automatically re-connect?

TIA!

Kris

Yeah its should no problem. Are you running any anti-virus or personal firewall software on the PC?

I would contact the support for that particular software and ask them what needs to be configured and you issue or you can just disable it but if you need it running you will probably need to configure it properly.
