An announcement in early Jan '09 stated a new router that improves on the DIR-855 with a 50% performance boost. :o Additional features include 2.4 and 5 GHz dual band, SharePort, etc., etc.
Any updates on timing for availability and expected price point?
Thx!

I am yet to see any decent speeds on the DIR-855 especially on the 5GHZ band...

I would have to disagree with that statement. I have seen 10MB/s over 5GHz, and upwards of 7-8MB/S over 2.4 GHz.
What I haven't seen, though, is anything close to an acceptable distance/signal quality from the 5GHz radio. I almost have to be LOS at 10 feet or less for a solid connection and that kind of throughput on 5GHz with this router. MIMO appears to have no affect on the 5GHz channel whatsoever.

Where did you see this announcement?

685 IS awesome ;) as for the 450, I've not heard any buzz about it yet. I'm sure we have it in the works, I just can't say when.
