I have the same problem. ..:(
I just upgrade the firmware 2.0 -->2.03..
I can't fix this problem..
I try the following solutions:
- install other torren client
- scandisk the shared hdd's
- format, and rebuild the hdd's
Anybody can help us?
Thanks for your help..

It's quite pointless to compare BT performance between a NAS and PC. My advice is to switch to other 3rd party BT client like Transmission, do a search if you want to know how to install.

It could also be because the incoming port was not open on FW.

It could also be because the incoming port was not open on FW.
Should be on router instead but most current model would have UPnP feature in place otherwise port-forwarding is a must. I have tested P2P on firmware 2.02 and speed was fairly good, I always use Ubuntu distro as the test torrent.

Hi all!
The torrent client work fine on the nas.
But if i try download on my pc to the nas shared folder
come zhe problems..
The download speed reduced to 10 k/s..:(
The port on my router is opened, of course..
I try other torrent client, but dosn't help..
If i try download with utorrent on my pc local drive
it work fine, but i want download to my nas...
(the older firmware worked fine, but since i was upgraded
the new firmware..:( )
Have you any advice for me?
Thanks for your help..

I think you have to forget about the torrent software and just concentrate on transfer speeds from the PC to the NAS. There are plenty of links on this forum dealing with it such as 10/100/1000 routers, CAT5 vs CAT5e vs CAT6 cables , NIC speed, homeplugs, etc.

I would suggesting checking out a external Gb network switch as well to connect the PC and NAS too.

Thanks for the advice guy!
The Pc and the NAS connected to
a gigabit switch..
As i said, the transfer speed on the
NAS between the PC is OK.
I try copy to the NAS (shared folder),
the speed is 15-20 M/sec...
...not 10 k/sec...
But if i try to save with the torrent client
to the NAS (shared folder), the problem
is still there....
Any other advice?
Thx..

I would presume there is an issue with the torrent client, sounds like something is bottlenecking there.
