Title: What do you like about the DGL-4500?
Post by: lotacus on March 01, 2009, 06:25:10 AM
Hey guys, sorry for not knocking. I decided to come for a visit from the DIR-655 forums to see what's on the go with the DGL-4500.

Not an advid gamer, but the DGL-4500, maybe even the 4300, had raised my eyebrow while trying to coerce DLINK to impliment some needed features that the DIR-655 needs.

Strangly enough, looking at the emulators D-LINK so kindly provides, I was intrigued to find a much cleaner web interface, much much, cleaner interface in all areas of the firmware, as well as one useful feature that I would like, which was the LAN routing feature. Can you believe that even though the option is hidden and disabled on the dir-655, that it only supports WAN side routing?

So, I payed 160.00 last summer for the dir-655 and contemplating on spending the extra 100.00 it would otherwise cost me for the DGL-4500.

So, tell me what you guys like/dislike about the router in terms of functionality. I noticed quite a few problems in this forum, but the same is in the DIR-655 alike.

as well, do you think purchasing the 200+ dollar router was worth your hard earned cash?
