Please update to firmware 1.02 or above.

Two questions:
1) When will this be addressed? I purchased the DNS-321 and there was not mention that the drives were not supported. I brought 2 of these drives, installed them and then found out from the support website that they were not currently supported. This is a big problem as far as I'm concerned. This is a fairly popular drive and has received very positive ratings fro mthe public.
2) What is the procedure to do the soft reboot from the web interface and what's the impact on working this way while a fix is being worked on?

1) I am sorry but I do not have a date for new firmware to be released to address this issue
2) Log into the web based configuration and goto the "Tools" tab then click "System" now click the "Reboot" button. Your system will reboot...
The impact of working this way is that you will have access to your drives an be able to use the unit.. You just will need to avoid powering down the unit from the front power button and just leave the unit running. If you do power it down that is fine you just will need to repeat the process.

Another question: I purchased one of the Hitachi drives and, following the "soft reset" instructions, got the 321 to recognize and format it. This is drive #2 for me in the unit; I already have a 500GB drive that works fine. Anyway, installed the 500GB into the left bay, formatted, transferred data, installed the Hitachi into the right bay, did the soft reset, and formatted it. Formatting seemed to go through, no hanging at 94%. It asked me to hit reset, I did, and it told me that I had to format the "new drive", referring to the 500GB drive I installed first, but there was an option to skip the format, which I did. Went to the status section and it said that I didn't have any data on my one (500GB) drive, and I couldn't access the unit from the network. Turned off the unit, removed the Hitachi, restarted, and now everything is working again.
Question is: how do we get the soft reset method to work with the Hitachi? That and when is the new firmware coming out?

3 month later and still no update for support for a very common drive? I see no mention of it in the beta notes for firmware 1.03.

Apparently this is fixed in 1.02. Why has this sticky not been updated then?
