Title: DNS-325 Data Recovery (Ubuntu)
Post by: priitv8 on December 28, 2011, 10:19:31 PM
D-Link Germany has published a comprehensive guide on how to recover data from Ext3-formatted disks outside the DNS-box, using Ubuntu: DNS-325 Data Recovery (NB! In German) (ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dns/dns-325/documentation/DNS-325_howto_verALL_Datenwiederherstellung_von_Festplatten_de_110216.pdf)
PS For some strange reason have the german guys published quite a lot of guides that cover topics just briefly mentioned in the user's guide (eg setting up for TimeMachine/WebDAV/AudioStreamer etc, accessing shares from OS X, configuring remote backups, rebuilding degraded RAID1 configuration).
You can find those guides here:
ftp://ftp.d-link.de/dns/dns-325/documentation/ (ftp://ftp.d-link.de/dns/dns-325/documentation/)
(I hope Google Translate (http://translate.google.com/) or Babelfish (http://babelfish.yahoo.com/) can provide some assistance for those who don't read German)

Thank you for pointing out that resource.  I hope D-Link gets around to translating that documentation for the masses.
