While the DNS-323 drives seem to spin down, and the main blue indicator light is off, at the same time I can see that inotify_upnp is sitting at 99% CPU utilization (on firmware 1.06) - is this normal?
-
How are you determining the inotify_upnp is sitting at 99% CPU utilization?
-
Well, that happens to me too. I can see it easily enough with top:
Mem: 60136K used, 1768K free, 0K shrd, 12208K buff, 32380K cached
CPU: 100% usr 0% sys 0% nice 0% idle 0% io 0% irq 0% softirq

any idea why inotify_upnp stays at 99% CPU ?

I also have this problem. I'm running firmware 1.07. Has there been any progress on this?
-
Same problem here with newly purchased DNS-323 with firmware 1.07. 99% CPU on inotify_upnp!
Can anybody from DLink help on this issue please?
-
And me ::)
-
Has anyone tried the beta code to see if the results are the same?
-
Yes.
I have noted this in previous versions as well, but I have never seen it on 1.08b05. This issue appears to be resolved in the beta.
