Title: Can't update firmware - Request Entity Too Large
Post by: thing on January 04, 2012, 03:27:54 PM
Hello,

I am currently running a DNS-320, bought in Germany, on firmware 2.00, firmware date is 2010-12-17.

I just want to update to the actual firmware 2.00 with date 2011-04-01 (according to dlink.com...) or 2.02, but everytime I try to do it via the web interface I get the error "Request Entity Too Large".

For reference just see:

Any help is appreciated :-).

Thanks in advance,
thing

Where did you download the firmware?
What hardware version do you have? (the serial number sticker will have the hardware version as a capital letter followed by a number)

I downloaded it from ftp.dlink.com:
   - ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/dns320/Firmware/dns320_FW_200
   - ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Multimedia/dns320/Firmware/dns320_FW_202

My hardware revision, according to your explanation, is A1.

Try going to the D-Link Taiwan site (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw/); select DNS-320; select the firmware titled "Firmware:DNS-320 A1 F/W 2.02(for WW)".

WW stands for "worldwide"

Suspect it's either a corrupted file or web browser issue.

Suspect it's either a corrupted file or web browser issue.

Ditto that.
