Title: Is this unit/tech compatible with other vendors' Powerline products?

Been using a Panasonic BL-PA100 HD-PLC Powerline pair to carry network to my living room for a few years. Works great. More network needs now, so I got this D-Link 4-port unit, intending to add to my Powerline network.

Are there any proprietary/ compatibility issues I should know about first? Should I assume they can or they cannot work together? Hate wasting time on network.

Not sure about that particular unit but I have a pair of DHP-306AVs working nicely with a couople of Western Digital Livewire devices.
