Title: Question about the Sticky by LookIntoMyEyees/FurryNutz
Post by: Atom_Ant on January 08, 2012, 07:32:19 PM
This is regarding the Gaming settings for PS3.

I would like to know if those Settings would work for DIR-825. I went to the DIR-825 Forum where the OP states that for PS Gaming Settings look for LookIntoMyEyees' thread for Gaming on PS3.

The problem I'm facing is while playing FIFA 12. On EA's Forum, there are countless unsolved threads, so I came here to deal with people who actually know about this stuff. While on Ultimate Team gamemode (where the problem occurs) on FIFA 12, the game disconnects on the 90th minute. I apologize if you don't know anything about this game but it's a massive issue for this game. They tell us to Open Ports specific ports, like 80..etc I have them written down - for TCP and UDP. I've sweat over this for hours and have had no end result. I am not sure even if I Opened the Ports correctly, ofcourse I saved the settings and everything, because it had no affect on the Game whatsoever. I Googled, Check Open Ports, and tried on a couple sites but they came with the result that the ports weren't open. I have, pretty much checked and unchecked every single thing on the router and it has had no affect. I've now restored the default settings and want to start fresh.

Please help.

Sincerely,
Atom Ant.

Yes those settings will work for on the 825. Just use the standard PSN ports accept for 80, thats open already. Use QoS to enter in the information. Were in the process of updating the sticky.

Let us know if you need help, Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using teamviewer. (http://www.teamviewer.com)

I'll give it a go, thanks. As for Team Viewer, it isn't available for the device I'm on currently (Blackberry). I use my PS Browser to access the Router since my computer's time ran out. If, however, I fall into further problems, I'll post images of what exactly is it that I'm doing.

Hi, I've got TeamViewer on now.

The problem is still the Port Forwarding bit, cannot seem to do it properly. It just disconnects the entire network when I attempt to Save settings.

Hi FurryNutz,

I'm still facing end of match Disconnects. Could it possibly be a firmware issue?

Here's a link to the EA thread on Disconnects with this Game Mode:

http://forum.ea.com/uk/posts/list/1132741.page

The very first post by a random user, also with D-Link but with DIR-615 suggests, changing it to a custom Firmware from DD WRT worked for him.

Do you know anything about http://www.dd-wrt.com

Is this worth a shot? I'm not sure I have anyother choice but to try, or do I?

Is this the only game you experience disconnects? Please try a different game and let us know.
Your link seems to relate mostly to FIFA 12 and disconnections for that game.

WRT isn't supported on the 4500.
Changing FW or routers also might not help. This maybe just a gaming or PSN issue.
We can do a couple more things to the router and see how that goes tomorrow.

FIFA 12 has several Online Game Modes. All other Online Modes of the game work good, with no disconnects at the end of each match. No problems with other games of mine.

It most definitely cannot be a problem with the Game or PSN, because I used to play this Game Mode perfectly fine with no disconnects when connected to my next-door neighbors Wireless Connection, but he's out of town currently so I can't connect to his for now.

If your not seeing any issues with other games you have, then it points to either possible configuration on the router, ports numbers or with PSN and the game itself.

Are there any other specific port numbers FIFA uses besides the PSN ones I input?

UDP 3074,3659,6000 TCP 80,443,10000-10099,42127

This is what I got from EA Support's Twitter.

Any status on this? Was curious about FIFA. I asked LIME to get a hold of you.
