What OS are you running?
Any 3rd party security software installed?
Make sure your virus free.
Network Card or Wireless adapter drivers up to date?
Service Pack up to date and OS up to date?
-
im running Win 7 36bit
im using Norton security suite
everything up to date
-
Thats your prob, using Windows 7 36 bit instead of 32 bit version, hehe. Kidding. ;)
Can you test with Norton disabled temporarily?
What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

Might want to review your event logs for windows and see if you have any entries regarding the crash during this time frame.
Yes you have a Rev B router if you have v2.00 FW.
-
just looked at the event log im getting this The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.
and
Event filter with query "SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99" could not be reactivated in namespace "//./root/CIMV2" because of error 0x80041003. Events cannot be delivered through this filter until the problem is corrected.
and
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0x00000000, 0x8e513744, 0x8e513320). A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 010912-18813-02.

Any chance you have a different PC to test with?
Is this the only application that does this?
What version of SP are you using?
Also what make and model is this printer?
I might have you try Safe Mode with Networking, however not sure if SP will work.
I would also have you post his in the shareport forum for Windows as well and see if anyone there has experienced this issue.
-
the make and model is Hp office 5610v all-in-one
i do but i have to do that tomorrow. Only app this is happening i got service pack 1
-
i tired using my USB it works i think it must be a driver or the printer itself
-
I might call up DLink and ask them about this. I recently installed SP and connected my HP LaserJet P2014n and it worked on my XP Pro Box and Mac Book Pro 10.6.8. Talk to someone at level 2 or 3 tech support. Not sure if HP would be of any help on this.
Does the 5610 have a LAN port by chance?

Does the 5610 have a LAN port by chance?
No it doesnt just one phone line for Fax

Let us know if you can try a different PC.
Let us know the results after turning off Norton.
I would contact D-Link and ask and post in the Shareport forum for windows as well. Might be another that had the same issue.

Nice Timing!
I'm getting ready to setup a home-business client with this router and he has the SAME printer!
I want to move the printer to the DIR USB jack, just like you did.
This client has a mix of XP and Win 7 computers.
One thing the client told me is that the latest HP drivers for the 5610 do not seem as stable as the previous version. I plan to do a clean-install of the latest to see if the install is corrupt.
Failing that, I will roll back to the previous version. If you don't have another computer to test with, I would suggest the same ideas to you.

Yes you have a Rev B router if you have v2.00 FW.
Is it important to update the Firmware (2.03NA) and use the latest Share Point driver (3.1.0) ??
My Christmas Holiday enhanced Gut says "Yes".

Anything is possible.

Its hard to trust somebody with Hairy Knuckles let alone FurryNutz....... :P
Reading the Share Point docs I found this:
Ensure direct USB connection work properly before using SharePort
If you are having any difficulties, please make sure your USB device works when connected directly with a USB cable to your computer before trying to use SharePort. If the device doesn't work directly over USB, it won't work when directly connected.
So, does printing work if you jack in directly?

Have to see if the OP reports back.
Can also try v4.0.0 SharePort version too.
