Title: EBR2310 router dropping connections.
Post by: Olive on January 11, 2012, 07:15:04 AM
Hello Team,

I have connected to the router EBR 2310 after 5-7 mins i am getting disconnected. The router need to support 70 concurrent users. Does EBR 2310 router support 70 concurrent users?.

I see a lot of message "Blocked incoming TCP packet from 99.184.276.339:22976 to 99.79.148.432:8080 as RST:ACK received but there is no active connection" in the router log.

Please help me to stable the connections without disconnects.

I was having similar issues, but I only have about 10 - 15 devices on my network.  Changed DNS servers to free DNS servers.  Other posts had indicated that slow responses had been resolved by changing to this DNS service.

I changed both the primary and secondary DNS servers and went from constant dropping of 5 - 30 seconds during concurrent usage to very fast with no problems for the past 24+ hrs.

You should flush the DNS history from your machines to ensure that they are using the DNS entries.

www.opendns.com  Requires you to setup a free account but may give you some good tracking and usage data on your network you may find helpful.

Having to change DNS servers would indicate a possible ISP DNS issue that should be addressed with the ISP. However using 3rd party DNS works too for back up.
