Title: Mac filtering
Post by: rkadair on January 12, 2012, 12:52:41 PM
I'm having a problem it started about one month ago

everytime I reboot my hardwired computer my router 4500 with the lateist beta code will not see anything on the wireless side I have to reinput the mac ID's or use my back up gateway file

Why is this not sticking in the router

I have reset
reconfigured
redone everything in this router

What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on routers web page under status.

I would follow the FW update sticky process and either reload the same version of code or update to v1.23.
This time, don't reload the saved configuration from file and manually configure the router from scratch. Do a quick test to see if your MACs and info is saving. Its possible the old config file is corrupt in some way. If it it works correctly save off a NEW config file.

What browser are you using? Try a different one like Opera or FF?
I presume when you making the changes that you are saving the settings and then rebooting the router?

Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices on the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.
Then try to setup Mac Filtering
