Title: Help with setting up Airport Extreme, DIR-825, and DCS-932L
Post by: macortim on January 15, 2012, 08:59:33 AM
I have been using my DCS-932L cameras with an AirPort Extreme.  I thought if I placed all the wireless cameras on a second wireless network it would get rid of the congestion on the first wireless network.  So I purchased a DIR-825.  I have been researching on-line and it seems it is possible.  Anyone know if this is possible or should I be looking at a different solution?  I was talking to someone about this and they suggested using the same network (AirPort Extreme) but choosing a different frequency for the cameras.

I would also like to create static IP addresses for the cameras.  I attempted this but wasn't able to make it work so I reset everything back so it would work for now.  ???

Any help is appreciated!  :)

I use multiple wireless routers, though never the airport extreme.  I recall a configuration setting needed for both, but it was long enough ago that I would have to re-visit the instruction manual that came with the routers.
