Title: prevent access to setup pages via wireless?
Post by: willardv on January 16, 2012, 04:59:23 AM
Hi guys;

Just bought myself an 825.  I've got it set up and working, but how do I prevent wireless users from accessing the setup pages for the router?

I only wish wired access to the setup pages.

I'm used to doing this on my old linksys, but can't find the setting on the new router.

Yes, make sure the routers web page log in password is set and make sure the wireless password is set as well. Turn off WPS too. Please review the WPS sticky information regarding that.

The router password is set.

Just wondered if there was a way to prevent access to the web gui via wireless.  So so ONLY have access via wired connection.

While we're at it - is there a way to change the username (or add one) other than Admin?

No way to prevent access UI or add a diff user name to the routers log in.
