Title: 10x slower than other wireless cards

Router: SMC8014WG
Laptop Wireless Card (Internal): Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN
Laptop OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit
Desktop Wireless Card: DWA-552
Desktop OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

The laptop and desktop are directly beside each other, but the laptop gets 5 bars and the desktop gets 2. Using speedtest.net, the laptop downloads at 10Mbps while the desktop downloads at 1Mbps. I'm using the latest d-link drivers (1.70 package) and I tried both installing the full software and installing just the drivers. I also tried installing the latest Atheros drivers, which dropped my speed to about 0.2Mbps.

The internal laptop wireless card with no antenna works perfectly, which tells me there must be something basically wrong with my desktop card. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: added that they're both 64 bit

This concerns me since I just purchased this card last night. I am also running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit version. I haven't installed the card yet, but I will be later today. I will let you know if I have a similar result once I get it installed.
