The D-Link Media server software may have an issue with 64bit OS however Windows media player11 or most and media server program can be used to stream to the DSM-520.

Please checkout out support website for instruction on how to use WMP11.

I am using DLink Media Server on Vista Ultimate x64 with no problems. I have to run version 1.08, as every version that has come out since immediately crashes when you try to open the GUI (On two other WinXP Pro PC's, an XP Home PC, and Server 2003). Since the DSM-520 is a redheaded stepchild, and they haven't put out any updated software in over a year, don't expect them to support Vista x64 anyhow.

switched from xp pro several months ago and have been working with vista 64 home premium, all the functions that worked on XP work on Vista 64 (and the functions that didn't still don't  :-\ :-[ ::))
