Title: Cannot add 932L to mydlink account: "Updated Wizard Required"
Post by: techinvestor on January 27, 2012, 10:56:28 PM
 >:(
OK, so my new 932L camera is driving me nuts:

In the "mydlink setup utility" when it cheerily says "Let's add a camera to your account" I get the red text "Updated Wizard Required" and cannot continue.

A blogsite suggested I configure it directly through the IP address.  This gives me access to settings/maintenance etc, but still doesn't allow me to add the camera to mydlink.

    ...can anyone help?   ;)

Try resetting the camera and start over. I've had to do this  :'(

Reset the camera to the factory default settings using a paperclip to press the recessed reset button on the rear of the camera. While the camera is powered up, hold the reset button for > 8 seconds.

tried 3x now, and even once on a second mac.  Always get blocked by the same "Updated wizard required".  About to conclude that d-link is complete #%*#

Are you sure that you are using the LATEST wizard for Mac?

Dlink support replied to me and gave me a new Wizard for Mac:

I presume you are a Mac user?
You need the latest install wizard, you can find it here:

....you might think they would just have put that link on their homepage, or on the box?

Anyway, with this new Wizard it worked first time!
