Title: 2nd Dir-600 router went dead on me within 5 months

I'm on Starhub's motorola cable modem.

Bought a Dir-600 from challenger, used it for 3 months and started expericing the common problems of loosing internet connection highlighted by many users here and in other forums. Would always have to do a modem / router power cycle to get it going again.

Slightly after 3 months... the thing went dead. Can power up but no response. Cannot detect the modem.

Got a one-for-one exchange at Funan. Used the 2nd one for less than 2 months. It just went dead on me! Same problem...

Just wanna let off some steam.

Problem could lie else where with router. Check with ISP modem and cabling in between. Did routers work at a different location besides your location?

I happen to have 2 starhub motorola modems (both SBV5121). Both also samething. Tech support cant troubleshoot. Gonna change for a 3rd modem tomorrow.

Try the SB 6 series modems from Motorola, I have 3 different models, all great modems. If your on cable that is.

Check cable between Modem and Router, swap out to be sure. Cat6 is recommended.
